Madison, Wis. – Today, Representative Patrick Snyder (R – Schofield) was again named Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Children and Families for the upcoming 2022 – 2023 Legislative Sssion. Rep. Snyder made the following statement regarding the announcement of committees: 

“It is truly an honor to be named Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Children and Families. I look forward to continuing our important work protecting children, solving child care challenges, improving adoption and foster care systems, and ensuring that Wisconsin remains a great place to raise a family.

After serving as Chairman of the Committee last session, as co-chair of the Speaker’s Task Force on Foster Care in 2018 and serving as a member on the Speaker’s Task Force on Adoption in 2020, I know that our state still faces significant challenges in the protecting children of all ages and backgrounds across the State. I look forward to continuing to work with Committee members to better improve outcomes for all children.

Additionally, Rep. Snyder was named as a member of the following Committees; Family Law, Government Accountability and Oversight, Ways and Means, Workforce Development and Economic Opportunities, and Veterans and Military Affairs. Rep. Snyder continued:

“I am equally exited to again continue the important work of previous sessions undertaken by the Committees on Family Law, Ways and Means, and Veterans and Military Affairs. These committees have all taken important issues head-on in recent years and I look forward to continuing to work with their Chairs’. I look forward to undertaking the important work of Government Accountability and Oversight as a new member.”
