Madison, WI – Below is a statement from Representative David Steffen (R-Green Bay)
regarding the state’s $15 million commitment to the redevelopment of C. Reiss coal pile storage site in downtown Green Bay.

“Finally, we are on our way to the redevelopment of Green Bay’s riverfront coal pile site! For four years, I’ve worked with local stakeholders including former Mayor Jim Schmitt to make this possible. This project will provide Green Bay with over $190 million in riverfront economic development and a restored community for public access to a quarter mile of the Fox River. A great day for Brown County!”

Rep. Steffen authored the legislation (AB 389) to dedicate federal ARPA funds to this
transformative, community project.
