MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statements after state Representative Cody Horlacher (R-Mukwonago) announced today that he will not seek reelection to the state Assembly in 2022:

“Representative Horlacher has been a strong, conservative voice for his district during his time in office. He fought to keep his constituents’ taxes low and burdensome government out of their way.

“Cody is a policy specialist. As head of the Assembly Committee on Regulatory Licensing Reform, he helped streamline complicated bureaucratic red tape to help businesses and cleanup government waste.

“I wish Cody and his family the best in this next chapter. I am sure he will continue to serve and work to make his community a better place.”
