MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statements after state Representative Tyler Vorpagel (R-Plymouth) announced today that he will not seek reelection to the state Assembly in 2022:

“Representative Vorpagel brings an energy with him to the caucus that is unmatched. He has been a strong advocate for his district during his tenure and will be sorely missed.

“Tyler has been a champion for economic development in his district. As chairman of the Assembly Committee on Federalism and Interstate Relations for several sessions, and later co-chairman of the Joint Legislative Council and Majority Caucus Chair, he has worked hard researching new approaches to public policy to keep Wisconsin moving forward.

“I wish Tyler, his wife, and the rest of his family the best in his future endeavors. I know he will excel in the next chapter of his life.”
