State Representative Shelia Stubbs (D-Madison) has been honored by the Wisconsin Counties  Association with a WCA Outstanding Legislator Award for her work on behalf of county government during the 2021-2022 Legislative Session.  

“Representative Stubbs deeply understands and is dedicated to advancing county issues not only in Dane County, but across our state,” said WCA President & CEO Mark D. O’Connell. “As a  previous member of the county board and longtime partner of our association, she knows that county issues are at the foundation of a strong and vibrant Wisconsin. We are grateful to her for  her work and her dedication to advancing sensible public policy.” 

The WCA Outstanding Legislator Award is handed out biennially to a select group of legislators  who have represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts. These legislators have demonstrated leadership for counties on key issues, legislation and the state budget.  

Representative Stubbs received the WCA award in her Wisconsin State Capitol Office on  Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
