On November 13th 2022, the former University of Wisconsin-Madison running back Brent Moss passed away at the age of 50. Representative Stubbs, who represents part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, released the following statement:
“Today, we mourn the loss and honor the memory of Brent Moss, who was not only a student-athlete, but a valued member of our community, a Wisconsin native, and a Badger through and through. Brent Moss paved the way for many great Wisconsin running backs, and his leadership helped create a legacy of success in Badger Football.”
“My prayers today are with Mr. Moss’ family, friends, and former teammates. His memory will always live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is unforgettable, and the impact he made on this program will be felt for generations.”
“This loss is being felt in every community Brent Moss was a part of, from Racine to Madison. While our communities process this loss and continue through this difficult time, I hope that we can come together to honor his memory.”
