Madison, Wis. – Today, State Rep. Paul Tittl (R-Manitowoc) has been named Chair of the State Assembly Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse by Speaker Robin Vos.

“I am very pleased to be named chair of the Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse,” said Rep. Tittl. “I thank Speaker Vos for the confidence he has in me.”

For the last four legislative sessions, Rep. Tittl has been chair of the Mental Health committee. That committee was created to build on the work of the Speaker’s Task Force on Mental Health. The committee has now been combined with the Substance Abuse committee.

“It is exciting to see how far this committee has come. I will continue to prioritize mental health reform in Wisconsin as it is an overwhelming problem especially facing our youth.” Said Rep. Tittl

Rep. Tittl will continue serving as the Vice-Chair of the Sporting Heritage committee and as a member of the Committee on Veterans and Military Affairs, Committee on Forestry, Parks and Outdoor Recreation, and the Committee on Corrections.

He has also been added as a member of the Committee on Campaigns and Elections and Committee on Energy and Utilities.

“I am excited for the opportunity to accomplish some good things for election reform as faith in our elections has been at an all-time low.” Rep. Tittl said. “I’m excited for the session to start.”

The upcoming session begins on January 3rd.
