MADISON – State Representative Ron Tusler (R-Harrison) wants to extend an invitation to the millions of Ukrainian refugees who have been displaced amid the Russian Invasion of Ukraine to his Assembly District, the Third Assembly District. Wisconsin’s Third Assembly District includes Appleton, the Fox Valley, Brillion, and Stockbridge.

On February 23, 2022, Russia deliberately, and unjustly, invaded Ukraine. Since it began, almost two weeks ago, over 2 million Ukrainians have been fleeing to seek refuge elsewhere. Europe is facing the biggest humanitarian crisis since World War II.

“While we wait for the Biden Administration to expedite visas, I want the freedom-loving, anti-Socialist Ukrainians to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that our arms are open to welcome them to settle, here, in Wisconsin’s Third Assembly District,” said Rep. Tusler.

Rep. Tusler has circulated a letter to his colleagues, today, asking for President Joe Biden to work with Governor Tony Evers to bring Ukrainian refugees to Wisconsin. A copy of the letter can be found here.
