The Republican Governors Association has laid down $3.3 million for ads through its ACC Wisconsin 2022 PAC.
An RGA spokesperson said the initial buy through the ACC Wisconsin 2022 PAC is $1.1 million and will run on broadcast and cable in Milwaukee.
The spot focuses on the release of violent offenders through parole, with the narrator calling them “the very worst criminals in Wisconsin history” and saying families weren’t notified of their release.
Kurt Wahlen, a former Racine police officer, then says putting more criminals “out on the streets endangers everyone” before a woman identified as the sister of a murder victim adds, “Gov. Evers, everyone in Wisconsin is less safe because of you.”
