OSHKOSH – Tonight, Ron Johnson and Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes met for their second debate for the U.S. Senate race in Wisconsin. The policies Barnes supports are dangerous for Wisconsin – a fact Johnson repeatedly pointed out during the debate tonight. The Johnson campaign released the following statement following the debate:
“It is clear why Lt. Gov. Barnes is refusing to debate a third time – he cannot defund his failed record and radical policies that are dangerous for Wisconsin. Barnes’ support to defund the police, abolish ICE, cut the prison population in half, and push forward Biden’s economic agenda that has led to 40-year high inflation and record gas prices will make Wisconsin less prosperous, less safe, and less free.” – Ben Voelkel, Senior Advisor for the Ron Johnson campaign.
