MADISON – Today, Senator Janet Bewley (D-Mason) announced she would not seek re-election in 2022 for her State Senate seat. Senator Melissa Agard (D-Madison) released the following statement regarding the announcement:
“Senator Janet Bewley has served the people of Northern Wisconsin in the Wisconsin legislature diligently for 12 years – her dedication to her constituents, our caucus, and our state makes her second to none.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with and learn from Senator Bewley while serving in both the Senate and the Assembly. Janet’s steadfast leadership, her integrity, and compassion are integral to our caucus. It is clear that her love of the 25th Senate District and the state of Wisconsin shines bright in everything she does.
