MIDDLETON – State Senator-Elect Dianne Hesselbein (D-Middleton) released a statement today upon the announcement from Governor Tony Evers that Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Mary Kolar will retire after four years as a cabinet secretary:
“I want to congratulate Secretary Mary Kolar on an amazing career. I first met Secretary Kolar years ago and she was instrumental in getting my first veterans bill passed in my first term. She has been a strong supporter of veterans and worked hard to improve the life of every single veteran. I wish Secretary Kolar the best in her retirement.”
