“I don’t agree that Governor Evers is making progress. In fact, he’s made the situation in my district significantly worse”

MADISONWI — Wisconsin State Senator Eric Wimberger (R-Green Bay) issued the following statement regarding Governor Evers’ claims PFAS Progress Report:

“Governor Evers’ PFAS action plan focuses primarily on what he calls ‘environmental justice,’ which takes into account a person’s race to determine how the State will handle pollution issues.  If he’s claiming progress in that agenda, I hope my constituents were the right race for the governor to act on their behalf.”

“I don’t agree that Governor Evers is making progress. In fact, he’s made the situation in my district significantly worse, as he authorized spreading PFAS-laden biosolids containing over 100,000 parts per trillion onto 240 acres just months ago.  It will ultimately result in well poisoning and harm my constituents’ health.”
