WASHINGTON, DC – Radical Mandela Barnes treated Wisconsin small businesses suffering under draconian COVID lockdown restrictions in a totally different manner than violent BLM protests – in just a matter of a few months.
When the Barnes-Evers regime in Madison extended restrictive COVID lockdown orders in 2020, keeping Wisconsin small businesses closed, over 1,000 protestors peacefully demonstrated at the Wisconsin state capitol. Barnes’ response was to call the demonstrations “selfish,” “dangerous,” and “literally flirting with death” as he compared the attendees to white supremacists who descended on Charlottesville in 2017.
Yet just a few months later, Barnes completely changed his tune on protests. In response to violent BLM protests that set fire to property in Wisconsin, Barnes defended the destruction: “To see a city burn on the outside is devastating but hardly compares to the implosion brought by systemic inequity and injustice.” He also claimed the violent protests were necessary to “save this nation.”
“If you’re a Wisconsin small business, Mandela Barnes will attack you. But if you’re a violent social justice arsonist, he’ll have your back. If this makes no sense to you – like thousands of other Wisconsinites with common sense – you know Mandela Barnes has no businesses taking these radical and dangerous views to represent Wisconsin in the Senate.” -SLF Communications Director Jack Pandol
