MILWAUKEE – On Monday, April 18, County Supervisor Russell Antonio Goodwin, Sr. will end his tenure on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Goodwin released the following statement on his time on the County Board.

“I would like to thank the fine citizens of District 18 for giving me the opportunity to serve as your County Supervisor. You all are truly amazing. Since being elected I have done my best to move Milwaukee County forward through strategic partnerships, proactive solutions, and community awareness.

“It has been an honor to serve over this term with all of my colleagues. I have learned something from each and every one of you. Your perspectives and ideas have allowed me to grow as a person through this experience.

“I would like to call special attention to the five brilliant women of color who are breaking barriers and making history on the County Board, as well as Supervisor Ryan Clancy who has a passionate drive to help those who are disadvantaged and less fortunate. I will forever be grateful for the many great things this board accomplished together.

“As I leave office, it is my prayer that Milwaukee County will move forward in a spirit of unity and to continue to keep working towards racial equity.”

Supervisor Goodwin was elected to the County Board in 2020 and is currently serving his first term as the Supervisor for the 18th District.
