[Fox Crossing] – Andrew Thomsen, candidate for Wisconsin Senate District 19, released the following statement in response to the recent United States Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade: “The day we have waited for has finally arrived. After over 50 years, the Supreme Court has overruled Roe v. Wade and recognized that the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion. As the Court noted, “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion the people’s elected representatives.” Although this a great day, our work is not done. Democrats will seek to install abortion regimes in Wisconsin and across the United States. We need to win in November to ensure that the gains made today are not lost to the Democrats tomorrow: we need to protect all life.”
