-- UW Regent Tracey Klein announced today she is resigning nearly a year early due to professional commitments.
Klein, an attorney with the national law firm of Polsinelli, was one of five regents appointed by former GOP Gov. Scott Walker. Her departure will allow Dem Gov. Tony Evers to strengthen his majority on the board, though it is a tenuous one. Of his 11 appointments, only two have been confirmed by the Republican-controlled state Senate.
