[Fond du Lac, WI…]  Fond Du Lac District Attorney Eric Toney, Law Enforcement’s Choice for Attorney General, issued the following statement in reaction to the United States Supreme Court’s rulings in Maine and New York: “This week’s rulings by the United States Supreme Court give parents more education options and upholds law abiding citizens 2nd Amendment rights are a victory for the rule of law and liberty. While extreme liberals like Josh Kaul and Tony Evers are content to trap students in failing schools while the Woke Mob attempts to Defund the Police I will not stand idle as our constitutional rights remain under attack. Allowing parents greater freedom to determine the best way to educate their kids is a no brainer after liberals continually kept our schools closed during the pandemic and inserted divisive curriculum like Critical Race Theory into the classroom. With violent crime surging to record levels as liberal soft-on-crime policies contribute to this historic violent crime wave and drugs flooding our streets we must protect the constitutional right of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves.”

“While the woke left attack these clear readings of the Constitution by our Supreme Court I am heartened that the individual liberties of Wisconsinites and Americans have been upheld by these rulings. Once elected Attorney General, I will continue to defend the constitutional rights of every law-abiding citizen just as I do as a district attorney. I will protect your right to determine how best to use taxpayer dollars to educate your children along with exercising your 2nd Amendment and other Constitutional rights.”

Eric Toney
District Attorney, Fond Du Lac County
GOP Candidate for Attorney General

District Attorney Toney, law enforcement’s choice for attorney general, is endorsed by more than 100 sheriffs, district attorneys, and police chiefs. He is also endorsed by the Milwaukee Police Association (MPA), WI Fraternal Order of Police, and the Racine Police Association.  The MPA said their decision to endorse Toney was a ‘matter of life and death’ as the state’s largest city is experiencing record crime and murder rates.

District Attorney Toney is also the choice of Republican grassroots activists who voted overwhelmingly for Toney at the recent RPW convention scoring an impressive 54% to 27% victory over his closest GOP primary opponent.  Toney swept the so-called WOW counties (Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington) and even won his primary opponent’s home county.

“I’m honored to have the deepest support from law enforcement and Republican grassroots activists of any candidate running for attorney general,” said District Attorney Toney.  “I decided to run for attorney general because Josh Kaul is beholden to the left-wing, woke mob and is failing to lead Wisconsin through this violent crime epidemic.  Violent criminals are literally getting away with murder under Kaul’s watch.  That ends on day one once I’m sworn in as Wisconsin’s next attorney general.”
