FOND DU LAC, Wis. – Yesterday, Dairy Business Association announced their endorsement of Eric Toney for Wisconsin’s Attorney General.

Fond du Lac County District Attorney and law enforcement’s choice for Attorney General, Eric Toney, released the following statement:

“Farmers and members of the dairy industry are critical to a strong Wisconsin economy. I’ve met farmers and others in the dairy industry as I’ve traveled across the state, and two things are certain: they want an attorney general who prioritizes public safety and an attorney general who will fairly and equally enforce the rule of law. As attorney general, I will work closely with our dairy industry, because Wisconsin succeeds when our dairy industry succeeds.”

DBA President Amy Penterman said:

“Eric Toney is single-minded in his approach to regulation and following the law. This is welcome, and refreshing, for farmers, many of whom have felt the damaging effects of regulatory overreach.

“DBA is confident Mr. Toney will ensure regulators follow the intent of the Legislature and stay within the scope of statutes when writing and enforcing administrative rules. It is essential that Wisconsin have common-sense regulations that are fairly applied if we are to keep farms from leaving or closing.”

District Attorney Eric Toney has bipartisan endorsements of over 100 Sheriffs, District Attorneys, and Police Chiefs, and has been unanimously endorsed by the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge, the Milwaukee Police Association, the Kenosha Professional Police Association, Waukesha County Chiefs of Police Association, the West Allis Professional Police Association, the Racine Police Association, the Racine Deputy Sheriffs’ Association, and the Milwaukee Police Supervisors Organization.
