(Washington, D.C.) – In the wake of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, Congressman Glenn Grothman (WI-06) issued the following statement:
“The passing of Queen Elizabeth II is an immense loss for the entire world. I send my deepest condolences to the King and Royal Family.
“The reign of Queen Elizabeth II symbolized the best of British tradition. For more than 70 years, she fearlessly defended human rights across the globe through meetings with world leaders, including 13 U.S. Presidents. I hope that her successors will continue to reinforce her commitment to advancing individual liberties and representing the Church of England on the world stage.
“The absence of Her Majesty will be felt in her own country and the world alike. While the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II lives on, may she rest in peace.”
