(Washington, D.C.) – Today, Congressman Glenn Grothman (WI-06) released the following statement on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine after his briefing with Administration officials:

“Tonight, I received an unclassified briefing from Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley,” said Grothman“The situation on the ground in Ukraine is fluid and there are many things that remained classified. I support sanction agreements that have been reached with Japan and our NATO allies and hope that they will bring an end to this invasion. I look forward to learning more information in the classified briefing next week.

“I offer prayers for the people of Ukraine as they go through a difficult time.

“I hope as we sacrifice some American financial resources to deter the 190,000 Russian troops, we do not forget about the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants who are streaming across our Southern border every month.”
