Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Ron Kind announced that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers received $5.3 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to continue work on the flood risk management project in Arcadia. This project will help provide long-term flood risk reduction for the central business district of Arcadia through building levees, floodwalls, channel modifications and closure structures, and more.

“It’s great to see this Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding headed to Arcadia to help support flood risk management, improve safety, and create shovel-ready jobs,” said Rep. Ron Kind. “Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re ready to get to work upgrading our physical infrastructure and breaking ground on projects across Wisconsin and the nation.”

Rep. Kind voted for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law on November 5, 2021 and the package was signed into law November 15, 2021. This legislation makes a historic investment in our roads and bridges, access to broadband, water infrastructure, resilience, and more – all while creating jobs and growing our economy.
