Washington, DC – Today, Rep. Ron Kind voted for the Women’s Health Protection Act. This legislation would make the protections of Roe v. Wade the law of the land and ensure access to reproductive health care services for women regardless of where they live.
“Since SCOTUS overturned Roe v. Wade and nearly 50 years of precedent, women in Wisconsin are living with fewer freedoms than their mothers and grandmothers had,” said Rep. Ron Kind. “We cannot go backwards. Personal health care decisions should be made by a woman, her doctor, and her family – not politicians. That’s why today, I voted to codify the rights Roe v. Wade protected and ensure women across this nation have the ability to make their own choices about their bodies and futures.”
