Madison – Rep. Dan Knodl (R-Germantown) issued the following statement today calling on Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul to take preventive action against possible violence in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s imminent ruling on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization:

“Pro-abortion extremists have announced plans for a ‘night of rage’ across the country if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Domestic terrorism attacks on Catholic churches and pro-life organizations throughout the nation have already proliferated since the leak of a draft opinion in May. These incidents included the firebombing of the Wisconsin Family Action office in Madison.

“To avoid further violence, and to prevent more tragedies like those in Kenosha and Madison during the summer of 2020, I call on the governor and attorney general to learn from past mistakes and take all possible action to secure the peace on our streets and ensure that any domestic terrorism is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
