Today, Congresswoman Gwen Moore announced more than $6.8 million in American Rescue Plan funds will flow to the city of Milwaukee’s HOP to help keep our local transit system operating and workers on their jobs during the pandemic. These funds will support operations, personnel, and efforts to clean and sanitize buses and facilities in order to keep the public safe, among other uses.
“I was pleased to vote for the American Rescue Plan which provided this pool of funding and will continue to work to bring back federal transit funds to ensure that resources like the HOP can continue to be a safe and reliable transportation option for our residents.”
