SOUTH MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) campaigned at a gas station in South Milwaukee today. Steil spoke with voters who are frustrated about record high gas prices. Steil offered solutions to unleash American energy and lower costs. According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Wisconsin is now $4.31. One man in South Milwaukee who spoke with Congressman Steil said it now costs over $125 to fill up his truck. A woman from South Milwaukee told Congressman Steil that her family is going out to eat less often so that she can afford to fill up her car. Under the new Congressional district maps, South Milwaukee will now be in Wisconsin’s First Congressional District.
