WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Bryan Steil (WI-01) led a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra regarding the nationwide shortage of monoclonal antibody treatments.

“President Biden has promised to “crush the virus,” yet we are not seeing the Administration taking needed steps to expand availability of lifesaving treatments that help patients from becoming seriously ill. The 300,000 doses of monoclonal antibodies being provided across states is far too short. We cannot face another shortage in supplies, particularly as we try to navigate our way out of this pandemic. I urge the Biden Administration to provide a detailed plan for treatments like sotrovimab that will be made available to Wisconsin.”

The letter was signed by Wisconsin Republican Members of Congress including Reps. Glenn Grothman, Tom Tiffany, and Scott Fitzgerald.
