WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Tom Tiffany (WI-07), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, was appointed to serve on the House-Senate Conference Committee for legislation pertaining to Communist China. The Conference Committee is tasked with holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable for their widespread theft of U.S. intellectual property, academic and economic espionage, cover-up of COVID-19, and gross human rights abuses, including slavery and genocide.

“It’s an honor to represent the House Judiciary Committee in this conference, and I’m grateful to Leader McCarthy for his commitment to holding Communist China accountable,” said Congressman Tiffany.

“China’s Communist Party rulers are richer, more ruthless, and more dangerous than ever before,” Tiffany added. “I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to confront the growing threat Beijing poses to America’s national security, economic prosperity, and regional stability.”
