MONROE, WI – Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin visited Monroe to hear about the city’s plan to replace lead pipes and discuss the Senator’s work to provide Wisconsin communities funding to rebuild water infrastructure. She also visited a local small business who benefitted from U.S. Economic Development Administration funding that was included in the CARES Act that Senator Baldwin voted for.

Senator Baldwin met with Monroe local leaders at the city council chambers to learn about the city’s plan to replace lead service lines and speak about Senator Baldwin’s work as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee to include $1,022,000 to fund this project in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 appropriations bill. Congress is currently working to finalize and pass this funding legislation.
