MADISON, Wis.—Karen Walsh, President of the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents, and Jay Rothman, President of the UW System, today appointed a 13-member Search and Screen Committee to help identify the next UW-Platteville chancellor.

Regent Cris Peterson will chair the Search and Screen Committee. Christina Curras, Professor and Department Chair, Civil and Environmental Engineering, will be vice chair. Other members of the committee are:

Richard Dhyanchand, Associate Professor, College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture

Tony Isabell, Program Manager, Custodial Services

Mike Jones, Regent

Linda Mulroy-Bowden, Executive Director, Student Life and Development

Rodney Pasch, Regent

Rebecca Poh, Student Body President

J.ason Schulte, Student Life & Activities Coordinator, UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County

Brianna Tucker, Regent

Tim Zasada, AV Technician III, Teaching & Technology Center

“The next leader of UW-Platteville will find a vibrant, engaged campus ready to tackle the challenges of the 21st century,” said Walsh.

The Search and Screen Committee is expected to convene in the coming weeks, when Walsh will charge the committee with its mission and review search procedures. A team of staff from UW System Human Resources, the Office of the Board of Regents, and the executive search firm of WittKieffer will assist the committee throughout this search process.

The committee will determine and interview candidates. A Special Regent Committee will review candidates forwarded by the Search and Screen Committee. The Special Regent Committee will include Regents Peterson, Beightol, Jones, Pasch, and Tucker and will be chaired by Peterson.

The successful candidate will require the approval of the full Board of Regents.
