PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI – Today, the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police announced they are endorsing Derrick Van Orden for Congress at a press conference in La Crosse. Joining 15 Sheriffs in the 3rd District and the Milwaukee Police Association, the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police supports Derrick because of his commitment to the rule of law and supporting our law enforcement.
Derrick Van Orden released the following statement accompanying the endorsement:
“It is a tremendous privilege to receive the support of our state’s Fraternal Order of Police. The Left has disparaged our law enforcement for far too long, and I promise as Congressman, I will always work to support our law enforcement and ensure they have the resources to keep our communities safe.”
As part of the endorsement, the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police released the following statement:
Derrick has dedicated his life to public service and will undoubtedly continue his selfless service as a
representative in congress. As a 26-year veteran of the United States Military and a decorated Navy SEAL Senior Chief, Derrick took the same oath our members did to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States of America. We are proud to stand beside Derrick as he stands up for law enforcement, fights for further protections for officers, and acts as a check on the radical anti-police agenda in Washington. On behalf of the members of the Wisconsin Fraternal Order of Police, I am proud to issue this endorsement for Derrick Van Orden, Wisconsin’s next United States Representative from the 3rd Congressional District.
