Madison — Today, the Wisconsin Building Trades Council (WBTC), announced additional endorsements for the upcoming November 8th, 2022 general election:

  • Mandela Barnes, US Senate
  • Sara Rodriguez, Lieutenant Governor
  • Doug La Follette, Secretary of State

The WBTC’s 17 member crafts represent more than 40,000 voices of working men and women, covering every unionized building and construction trade in the state.

“The Wisconsin Building Trades Council endorses these candidates with confidence that they understand the priorities of union members, and will tackle the issues important to all workers to help to strengthen the middle class,” said Jac Weitzel, WBTC Board President, “These candidates have committed to pro-worker agenda, and we know they will work with us to create jobs through long-term infrastructure investments, expanding skilled training and apprenticeship, and supporting strong labor standards. We’re proud to recommend them to our more than 40,000 members.”

These endorsements followed the WBTC’s announcement on August 5th that it had endorsed Governor Tony Evers in his bid for re-election.
