WISCONSIN – Voters across Wisconsin showed up in record numbers, with the highest voter turnout in the country, to re-elect Gov. Tony Evers and conservation champions down ballot.

Executive Director Kerry Schumann had this to say about the election night results:

“Voters re-elected a governor who promised to defend our freedom to vote, protect our waters, and fight for a sustainable Wisconsin – and who has delivered on that promise. It is clear the people of Wisconsin want leaders who will work for equitable solutions to the climate crisis and rebuild a democracy in Wisconsin that works for everyone.

Wisconsin Conservation Voters IEC is also proud to have helped protect the governor’s veto, winning all five state assembly seats where we invested, and helped to re-elect Attorney General Josh Kaul.

Wisconsin Conservation Voters IEC ran our largest campaign ever. We spent $3.8 million to ensure we can keep moving forward on climate and clean water. We knocked on over 375,000 doors around the state, had deep authentic conversations with voters, sent thousands of text messages and mail pieces, and ran an extensive digital ad program.

This is a victory for the people of Wisconsin. We are grateful to our dedicated members, supporters, and volunteers who committed countless hours to reaching voters and fighting for the Wisconsin we love. This achievement was possible because we united around our shared goals and aspirations. Together, we can build a brighter future for Wisconsin.”
