MADISON – Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation polled the Republican candidates for the gubernatorial election to help voters ahead of the primary vote on August 9.

“It’s more important than ever to get to the polls for every election,” said WFBF President Kevin Krentz. “We are excited to be able to bring you some answers directly from the candidates specifically around agriculture.”

All Republican candidates for the gubernatorial election were sent the same survey of seven questions, with five being specific to agriculture.

The topics of the agricultural questions were on water, use value assessment, livestock siting law, Wisconsin’s Right-to-Farm law and rural broadband.

“I think you will find these answers helpful as you head to the polls on Tuesday,” said Krentz.

Wisconsin Farm Bureau plans to do a similar survey with the final candidates for Governor ahead of the November election.
