MADISON — Today, the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses & Health Professionals (WFNHP) joined AFT-Wisconsin, SEIU Wisconsin State Council, AFSCME Council 32, IBEW 2150, AFT 212, and over 160 state and local leaders across Wisconsin in endorsing Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate.
“The Wisconsin Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals knows we can trust Mandela Barnes to put health care workers first because he has a proven record of doing so, and what’s good for health care workers is good for patients. We need Mandela in the Senate because he will fight with us for safe staffing and fair pay so we can provide the best care possible,” said WFNHP President Connie Smith. “Mandela is a working class candidate, and he isn’t bought and paid for by big pharma or insurance companies that put profits over people. WFNHP is proud to stand with Mandela, the son of a union family who will fight for our best interests in Washington.”
