MADISON – Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG), a statewide, nonpartisan, non-profit organization of professional women in and around government service, is pleased to announce the appointment of seven new members to the 2022-2023 Board of Directors as well as the board’s new leadership team.

WWIG welcomes the following new board members:

  • Mary Austinson, Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin
  • Chelsea Fibert, Wisconsin Counties Association
  • Kimberly Hernandez, U.S. House of Representatives
  • Melissa Schmidt, Wisconsin Legislative Council
  • Sarah Spaeth, Waukesha County Board of Supervisors
  • Sherri Voigt, Wisconsin Department of Administration
  • Pamela Williams, City of Milwaukee Assessor’s Office 

The 2022-23 WWIG leadership team includes: 

  • President Audra Cohen-Plata, U.S House of Representatives 
  • Vice President Cassidy Sommer, Wisconsin Legislature 
  • Past President Amanda Graham, Wisconsin Legislature
  • Treasurer Sherri Voigt, Wisconsin Department of Administration 
  • Secretary Karly Downing, Office of the Director of State Courts
  • Member at Large Allison Cramer, Alzheimer’s Association
  • Member at Large Renee Walk, Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds

“WWIG is fortunate to have such experienced and talented women join our board of directors,” WWIG President Audra Cohen-Plata said. “I am grateful for their interest in WWIG and the work we do to support women working in and with state government.”
