FOUR CHAMPION SPONSORS SUPPORTING WISCONSINEYE’S CAMPAIGN 2022

Candid conversations with primary election winners aiming for victory in November will highlight
WisconsinEye’s Campaign 2022 initiative to inform voters.

Newsmakers host Lisa Pugh will interview all willing candidates in legislative, constitutional, and
federal campaigns from five locations statewide including Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay, La Crosse and Wausau. All interviews will be freely available on the WisconsinEye Campaign 2022 page, along with live and taped campaign rallies, news conferences, debates, related events, and expert analysis.

“Our sponsors champion the mission of WisconsinEye. They recognize the importance of informed citizen involvement in the 2022 elections which will impact every aspect of Wisconsin life. We are grateful for their foresight and participation,” said WisconsinEye president Jon Henkes.

“An informed electorate is at the foundation of our election process and we are once again proud to sponsor the WisconsinEye Campaign 2022,” said Mark O’Connell, President & CEO, Wisconsin Counties Association. “WisconsinEye’s diligence in reaching and engaging with candidates at the local, state and federal level is unparalleled and the result is a wealth of information to assist our citizenry in making informed decisions at the polls in November. We are grateful for their work and to be a part of their incredible mission.”
“Kwik Trip, Inc. is a proud supporter of WisconsinEye, and we are eagerly looking forward to our partnership together as the 2022 campaign year begins,” said Steve Loehr, Vice President, Kwik Trip. “Now more than ever before, we understand the necessity of well-balanced, nonpartisan political coverage and education for the great state of Wisconsin. Our company’s 35,000 employees are by far our best and most valuable asset. If we provide them with the tools to be educated voters and feel confident in expressing their own experiences and concerns, this is where we can make the greatest impact. We encourage our employees to exercise their right to vote and take a stand on legislative matters of importance. On behalf of our coworkers and their families, Kwik Trip would like to thank WisconsinEye for their commitment to making a difference for Wisconsin’s outstanding people.”
“For more than 100 years, the Wisconsin Hospital Association has been an advocate for high-quality, affordable health care in Wisconsin, and every day our elected officials make decisions about laws, rules and regulations that impact access to this care,” said Eric Borgerding, President & CEO, Wisconsin Hospital Association. “WHA is proud to play a key role in crafting good health care policy, including helping to inform the decisions made by our elected officials that will make our health care system even stronger. That is why we are again proud to support and sponsor WisconsinEye’s candidate interviews and election coverage — an important public service that helps educate voters about the candidates, including where they stand on important health care issues.”
“The Operating Engineers Local 139, along with their Labor Management partners at Construction Business Group, is pleased to support WisconsinEye as a Campaign 2022 sponsor because we believe that informed, engaged citizens and a transparent government are essential to positive outcomes,” said Terry McGowan, President, Operating Engineers Local 139. “Local 139 is known for telling it like it is. We speak our minds and let there be no doubt where we stand on issues important to our workers and their families. Likewise, WisconsinEye’s candidate interviews ask those seeking election or re-election to tell it like it is; straight talk about where they stand on the issues driving Wisconsin’s forward progress in the economy, education, health care, and public safety. We represent more than 10,000 heavy equipment operators in the construction industry throughout our state. We’re proud of the work we do because we are building much more than bridges, roads and buildings. We’re helping to build vibrant communities and strengthen Wisconsin’s envied quality of life. We see that same commitment with WisconsinEye’s comprehensive approach to covering our State Capitol and those who seek to serve.”
