MADISON, Wis. – Four years ago this week, Donald Trump – who bragged to have “mastered the art of the deal” – unveiled the first of a long list of notoriously ineffective infrastructure plans. Much like his entire presidency, Donald Trump’s failed infrastructure deal remains a running joke that reminds voters how the Republican Party’s strategy of partisanship over progress remains wholly ineffective and unpopular – and Wisconsin voters are no exception.
“President Biden and Democrats in Congress delivered an infrastructure plan that Trump only dreamed of – accomplishing more in nine months than Trump did in four years,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Julia Hamelburg. “President Biden worked across the aisle to deliver a once-in-a-generation infrastructure law that will invest in and revitalize Wisconsin’s roads and bridges, deliver clean drinking water to families across the state, tackle the climate crisis, and deliver good-paying jobs.”
This federal funding will build on Gov. Evers’ successful efforts to rebuild Wisconsin’s roads and highways – further highlighting that Democrats, not Republicans, have delivered on their infrastructure promises.
