Madison, Wis. — On the heels of Ron Johnson breaking his pledge by seeking a third term in the Senate, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin is kicking off the “Self-Serving Johnson” tour. In the coming weeks, Wisconsinites in Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee, Superior, and Wausau will hold events highlighting Johnson’s self-serving agenda and his singular focus on enriching himself at the expense of Wisconsinites.
Johnson’s record of failure in the Senate speaks for itself. Johnson led the charge to repeal the Affordable Care Act and protections for people with pre-existing conditions, changed the 2017 GOP Tax Scam bill in a way that enriched himself and his biggest donors, and voted against tax cuts for Wisconsin families.
“Hard working Wisconsinites across the state are holding Ron Johnson accountable for failing to protect their health care, lower their taxes, and bring us back from the COVID pandemic,” Democratic Party of Wisconsin Senate Communications Advisor Philip Shulman said.
The first stop on the tour will be tomorrow in Madison at 10:45 AM on Friday, January 14th, with dates and locations in Green Bay, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Superior, and Wausau announced soon.
