MADISON, Wis. – Today, Governor Tony Evers turned in his nomination signatures to officially get on the ballot for his re-election campaign.

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin is proud to unite around the governor and his common-sense record of doing the right thing for Wisconsin.

Gov. Evers knows the importance of supporting Wisconsin small businesses and investing in the middle class in order to grow Wisconsin’s economy. That’s why he delivered a 15% tax cut for the middle class and launched the Main Street Bounceback Grant program to bolster communities across the state. The grants have already helped more than 4,200 small businesses in every county.

The governor has also delivered for our neighborhood public schools, following years of underfunding. Wisconsin schools now rank eighth in the nation and Gov. Evers has restored the state’s two-thirds funding commitment to K-12 schools for the first time in two decades. And to make sure students, businesses, and families are connected to the opportunities they need, Gov. Evers ensured the state is on its way to expanding broadband access to over 300,000 homes and businesses.

“Governor Tony Evers is doing the right thing for Wisconsin, and from his time as an educator to now as governor, he’s sought to bring people together to deliver common sense solutions,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Executive Director Devin Remiker. “From fixing the damn roads, to supporting working families, to doing what’s best for our kids, Gov. Evers is the kind of leader Wisconsinites deserve in the governor’s office. As Gov. Evers turns in his nomination signatures, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin is fired up and ready to re-elect him this November.”
