To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $13.2 million contract to improve US 18/151 in western Dane County.
Starting Monday, April 11, crews will begin resurfacing 8 miles of US 18/151 between the Dane/Iowa County line and Town Hall Road in Mt. Horeb.
During construction, traffic on 18/151 will reduced to a single lane of traffic in each direction. Local Access will be provided for area businesses and residents.
Payne & Dolan of Waukesha, Wis. is the prime contractor.
Construction is scheduled for completion by November 2022. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress. The project website can be found at www.511wi.gov.
Motorists are reminded that using handheld cell phones in Wisconsin work zones is illegal. Motorists should slow down, be patient and pay attention to their surroundings in all work zones.
