Wisconsin Transportation Secretary of Transportation Craig Thompson issued the following statement today in response to the announcement of State Senator Jerry Petrowski (R-Marathon) that he will not seek reelection:
“I want to thank Senator Petrowski for his exemplary leadership as chairman of the Senate Committee on Transportation, Veterans and Military Affairs. His comprehensive knowledge of transportation issues, his pragmatic approach to problem solving, and above all his integrity, have all been significant contributions to improving Wisconsin’s transportation system. Knowing and working with Senator Petrowski for more than 15 years, I can say without hesitation the lives of people in North-Central Wisconsin and throughout the state are improved because of his service. I wish Senator Petrowski the best in his future endeavors, and I know that his example of bipartisan dedication to the public good will continue to inspire us.”
