Low cash bail policies are continuing to have tragic consequences. A Milwaukee man was recently charged with murdering two people just months after a Milwaukee County judge reduced his bail from $10,000 to $1,000 on charges from a dangerous high-speed chase – the latest example of the impact of soft-on-crime policies like those pushed by the Evers-Barnes administration.

Tony Evers refused to fire John Chisholm after Darrell Brooks was set free on “inappropriately low” bail. Meanwhile, Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Mandela Barnes continues to advocate for eliminating cash bail nationwide while violent crime is on the rise.

“Wisconsinites should be able to live in their communities without the threat of violent criminals being let back out on the streets, but Democrats’ failed policies are leading to rising crime. Republicans will continue to put public safety first.” – Republican Party of Wisconsin Rapid Response Director Mike Marinella
