Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce is again hitting Dem Gov. Tony Evers on TV, this time with an ad that says he and President Biden have “failed us.”
The state’s largest business group said the ad began running last week on broadcast through the WMC Issues Mobilization Council. It’s part of a buy that’s been running since February, and the group declined to release other details.
The spot features a series of people identified by their first name, the initial of their last name and the city where they live.
One opens the spot saying everything costs more “thanks to Joe Biden’s inflation” and Evers “wants even more of our money.”
Others say he tried to raise the gas tax, pushed to increase the costs of heating and electric bills and tried to raise taxes on “job creators.”
After two people say Evers “failed us,” the narrator closes the spot, “Call Gov. Evers. Tell him to stop trying to take our money.”
