MILWAUKEE – December 14, 2022 – Candidate for the citywide MPS School Board seat, Missy Zombor, announced today that she has received the endorsement of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 998, the labor union which represents over 1,100 transit workers who make safe, efficient, and affordable public transportation possible.
“Many MPS students and families rely on Milwaukee County transit to get to and from school, work, or medical appointments, and I’m honored to receive the endorsement from ATU Local 998,” said Missy Zombor. “I believe in the power of community coalitions and look forward to working with ATU Local 998 to help bring greater transit access to MPS students and families.”

Missy Zombor is a Milwaukee Public Schools parent and works for the Milwaukee-based education publisher Rethinking Schools, which specializes in critical perspectives on social justice curriculum and education. She is well-known and widely respected for her commitment to public education, social and economic justice, environmental issues, and worker rights.
