While environmental groups consider appealing a judge’s decision in favor of the Cardinal-Hickory Creek transmission line, advocates are applauding it as a big step forward for the controversial project.  The transmission line project, which involves American Transmission Company, Dairyland Power Cooperative and ITC Midwest, would span more than 100 miles between southern Wisconsin and Iowa. Milwaukee – Today, Representative Bob Donovan (R-Greenfield) gave a statement following the bill signing ceremony for Assembly Bill 55 in Milwaukee. Governor Evers signed Rep. The League of Wisconsin Municipalities welcomes Thomas Weatherston as the newest member of the League board. Weatherston is the current Village President of Caledonia. He has served on the Caledonia Village Board from 2010 to 2014 and currently since 2019. Dept. of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection: To survey for spongy moth in 47 counties

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will set over 10,000 traps for spongy moth (Lymantria dispar) in 47 counties from mid-May through early July. DATCP asks that property owners allow trapping staff to place traps on their land and to not disturb the traps once in place. “Traps are monitoring tools that identify pockets where spongy moth is advancing into previously uninfested areas,” says Michael Falk, DATCP Forest Entomologist. “Pinpointing these pockets allows program managers to safely and efficiently limit population spread before infestations become large enough to cause damage to trees.” Traps

Madison – Senator Jesse James (R- Altoona) announces the passage of SB 76 into law: “Today, we celebrate the signing of legislation that clarifies the crime of carjacking in our state.
