Hi, I’m State Senator Romaine Quinn.

A historic surplus presents an opportunity for us to craft a meaningful budget. As a legislator who represents a far northern rural district, I am excited for what we may be able to accomplish this session.

Communities across the 25th Senate District are not alone in voicing the issues that impact them. They have been asking for support in mental health, education, road construction, and EMS and public safety.

The level of shared revenue that rural northern communities receive from the state simply has not kept pace with their needs. Net new construction numbers lag, even as people flock north to experience all we have to offer in every season of the year.

I am looking forward to working with my colleagues to address these issues and secure new sources of state support for my northern neighbors. They expect the same level of basic services as everyone else in the state, and I’ll be working hard this session to ensure they receive it.
