Hello, I’m State Senator Cory Tomczyk.
A few weeks ago, we witnessed the Governor radically use his line-item veto in the budget. The Legislature passed a commonsense budget that would have cut taxes for all Wisconsinites and made sure that Wisconsin remains on solid financial ground. Sadly, our Governor doesn’t want that.
In addition to major tax cuts, the Republican Legislature invested heavily in transportation, and education. However, these gains were overshadowed by the Governor vetoing tax cuts for everyone earning over $37,000 a year and giving schools ever increasing funding each year for the next 400 years (yes 400 years). Governor Evers does not care about reducing your tax burden, Governor Evers only
cares about spending your money.
Legislative Republicans will continue to fight for lower taxes and ensure the state’s finances are in order. Business owners and average Wisconsinites should know they have the Republican Legislature in their corner. Let’s all remember that in the future.
