The first two post-primary ads from A Better Wisconsin Together Political Action Fund knock Kelly for his past comments on Social Security and Medicare, as well as abortion.

The Dem group said the ads are part of an initial buy that began today and runs through Monday. It spent nearly $2.2 million on ads opposing conservative Jennifer Dorow leading up to the primary.

The spot on Social Security and Medicare is running in the Green Bay market, while the abortion ad is airing in Milwaukee.

The narrator in the ad running in Green Bay says Kelly attacked seniors on Social Security and Medicare as “people who chose to retire without sufficient assets to support themselves,” adding he compared them to welfare. The narrator adds Kelly is “so out of touch that he likened Social Security to slavery.”

“Daniel Kelly is wrong about Wisconsin seniors, wrong about Social Security and Medicare, and he’s too extreme for our Supreme Court,” the narrator says to close the spot.

In the other ad, the narrator says Kelly could be the deciding vote on whether the Supreme Court keeps or repeals Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban. The narrator says Kelly repeatedly attacked abortion rights and groups “fighting to protect them” and is endorsed by groups who’d ban abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest.

“Daniel Kelly, turning back the clock on reproductive rights, all the way back to 1849,” the narrator says to close the spot.
