An education advocacy group in a new TV ad is urging GOP presidential candidates to back the idea that “parents deserve a choice in education.”

The Invest in Education Coalition said it is part of a new six-figure ad buy encouraging Republican presidential candidates to advocate for the Educational Choice for Children Act. The bill, which was introduced in the Senate last year, offers federal tax credits to private donors contributing to tax-exempt organizations after 2022. The IIEC claims it would help up to 2 million students access a school or education service of their parents’ choice.

“Union bosses and bureaucrats are leaving too many kids behind,” the narrator says. “The Education Choice for Children Act empowers parents of two million children to get the education they deserve”.

The ad comes just ahead of the Aug. 23 GOP presidential debate. It will air on Fox News, CNN, and digital media platforms.
